One of my older cats, Wookiee, has mega-colon. Because of this, it is very hard for him to have a bowel movement. He is on prescription medicine daily and also this laxative. I give him a dose of the laxative a day and it, along with the medication, helps him to pass bowel movements and not get impacted bowels. This literally saves his life, as he lost over 1/2 of his body weight before finally getting diagnosed. I would recommend to anyone dealing with mega-colon! He loves the taste of it and begs for it each morning like a treat! He eats it right out of the tube!
