The higher protein value was noted in the DogfoodProject.org site and natural ingredients without feathers, beaks, feet, etc used as the "chicken products." Best more natural dog food and reasonable price too! I also purchase the one for cats.My animals do not get sick--5 yrs., 12 yrs., and soon to be 19 yrs. old!

I switched my dogs to this many years ago b/c I liked the ingredient list. My dogs have really thrived on it. They are now 10+ years old with no health problems besides maybe some arthritic joints. I will now switch them to the Chicken Soup for Seniors. I highly recommend this food!
