This brush works so well at getting out loose hair that a normal brush cant pick up. The FURminator uses a clipper-like head to pull out the loose undercoat of your pet. I have a large DSH cat, and I can never seem to get all her fur out. This tool cuts down on the shedding by working deeper and more effectively than regular slickers.
One problem I have with it is the mess it leaves. Because it's just a small clipper head, when you brush your pet, the hair will usually fly everywhere instead of being held in the brush.

I bought this tool for my Siberian Husky. I couldn't be any happier with the results! This brush is a little on the expensive side, but so worth it. You only have to pay for it once and it continues to work like a charm- each brushing session takes of an impressive amount of fur and keeps my home and clothing from being covered with it. This is a great product!

I have had cats my whole life- shedding is always an issue. Many shedding brushes remove the fur that is already off on the surface but do little to take care of the undercoat, especially in long haired animals. This brush really gets in there and gets the loose fur out. I've found it effective for both long and shorthair cats as well as my two longhair dogs. Also, they have great customer service- my first brush started to lose bristles and they replaced it promptly- no problems since then!
