This rodent block is the primary food source for my rats and mice. I maintain both a feeder colony for my reptiles and several pet rats. The non-reproducing pet rats maintain good weight and condition, which is not surprising. The feeder rats, which reproduce frequently, maintain excellent body condition on this food. Most of my rat litters are 12+ pups and the females stay fat and active throughtout gestation and nursing. Excellent food, doesn't make much dust or crumble.

I have a large mousery. I feed this free choice to all my mice. The rounds are hard, which is good for their teeth, and the rounds don't fall through the 1/2 wire feeder baskets, so there is no waste. The mice produce big healthy litters on this feed.
It is delivered right to my door! Awesome!

Purchased Native Earth to feed my feeder rodent colony for my snake collection. My animals do very well with this product in terms of weight gain after pregnancy, growth for young animals and overall health. I have not had any issues with "hot" spots caused by excessive protein levels using Native Earth as I have with other lower quality foods. The ingredient list for this product is great in that there they don't use lower-quality filler items like corn or other products. Overall very happy and will buy again in the future.

It doesn't get any better than to have this heavy bag delivered right to my door, no schleping from the store. This is an excellent basic daily diet, which I free feed to all my mischief from 8 weeks to 8 months. Since it would take some time to go through 40 lbs., I separate it into 5 lb. bags - fits perfect in a gallon baggie - and freeze what I'm not using to keep it fresh. I expect to get around 4 months out of this bag feeding 10 rats, which works out to about $8.75 per month. Doesn't get any better than this!
Delivery was very prompt, bag arrived in perfect shape. Shipping charges were more than reasonable considering the weight and I'm still able to keep feeding costs low.

This rat diet meets all their dietary requirements and should be feed as their main diet. Also give some fresh fruits and veggies, and the occasional treat. Helps promote long, healthy lives! I free feed my rats this and give them other goodies once a day.
It comes in a large bag, so those who have only a few rats may want to freeze the extra food to keep it fresh!

For the price of this bag it bets anything you'll find in a store, even with shipping tacked on! And it's an amazing food. Only problem is if you only own a couple of rodents you really should freeze a good portion of it to keep it good for longer. And if you keep it in the large bag towards the end you'll end up with about 3 cups of just dust. So break it into smaller bags, and freeze some and you'll be all set!

i bought this product for my group of 7 rescue rats. the price is fantastic for a good quality product that is leaps and bounds better than most all other rodent diets. all my rats enjoy the food and took to it instantly with no problems at all after a slight change in brand. i have recommended this product from you guys to others and will definitely continue ordering from national pet pharmacy! the only comment i have was that the box the bag came in had burst at the back because the tape didn't cover the back seam, however, the product was unharmed!

Excellent lab grade product in bulk quantities suitable for hobbyists and breeders. I have been using this product for over a year now in my breeding colonies of mice and rats and have had robust, healthy animals that produce large, healthy litters often.
Initially I was concerned when day four rolled around and I had not recieved my order confirmation email. I called customer service so I could track my order and was told it had already been delivered. I got home from work to find that it had been delivered to my doorstep. Customer service reps were polite and helpful ( a rarity these days), delivery was exceedingly prompt and the price and shipping rates unbeatable. Nationalpetpharmacy.com will now be my primary source for rodent food and bedding as well as substrates for my reptiles.

I had been searching for a GOOD food for my rats, an 18% protein food that had good ingredients, was well-received by them, and would meet or exceed their nutritional and taste requirements. Add to this, I needed a COST-EFFECTIVE food that wouldn't break the bank! This food was recommended by a long-term rat owner, and I was very happy to find that you carry it! The ratties like it, it is cost-effective, and makes me feel I am doing a great job meeting their needs.
I really appreciate that it didn't take long at all from ordering to receiving my pet product! I will most definitely be a return customer, and would highly recommemnd you to anyone I know.

Not only are these pellets a healthy staple diet for mice, but my mice really do like them. It is easy to see when they are getting low on food since there aren't any shells left over to make the dish look full. I raise pet mice and selectively breed for genetic traits.

Harlan Teklad/Native Earth is the best food to feed your young rats! It is a nutritionally complete diet formulated especially for them. My rats love it and take it like candy! It doesn't get any better, and at this price it's a steal!

This is one of the best commercial diets available for rats (Harlan Teklad 2018 by another name) and this is the best deal on it. If you don't have a lot of rats it can be a lot of food to go through, but stays fresh for 6 months or up to a year in freezer.

I raise feeder mice, and have to feed them a good rodent block for production of young. This Harlan block is great; dust free and the mice favor it over other products.

We have owned pet rats for 10 years. We have tried many other diets but they do not compare to the quality and consistency of the Native Earth 2018. This diet is excellent for all life stages - a "tried and true" diet for these wonderful companion animals.

Bought this food for 7 female rats, they were being fed cheap hamster food before I got them so at first they were't to sure about this food after a couple days though they started eating this and seem to like it. I put the extra in the freezer to keep it fresh. I will continue to buy this for them.

Complete nutrition for mice (and rodents) in all stages of life--plus they LOVE them! I often see a mouse pick one off and carry it off, like a dog with a pillow. Harlan Teklad supplied only to labs for many years and these lab blocks were difficult to get. Now they're marketing them commercially and I am overjoyed!
