Rimadyl Pain and Arthritis medication a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps to relieve your dog's pain and inflammation caused by arthritis, joint abnormalities and surgery. Your vet will prescribe Rimadyl in order to help your dog maintain regular activity level and quality of life. You can trust Rimadyl Pain and Arthritis Tablets because they are shown to be clinically effective in controlling both arthritis pain and pain from soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs. Rimadyl for dogs works by inhibiting cell production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals made by the cells to perform specific functions, such as triggering inflammation. Less inflammation means less pain for your dog. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. This medication should only be given to the pet for which it was prescribed. For long-term use, use the lowest dose needed to provide relief. If you have difficulty giving the medication, contact your veterinarian.

My vet delayed renewing my prescription so my almost 15 y.o., 65 lb. dog had to face 3 days off this medicine. I was carrying him in/out of the house and he had to eat lying down. After I happily changed vets and obtained the medicine, he was walking & going up/down stairs after the first dose!

Our German Shepherd was 7 when she was diagnosed with arthritis. She could barely get up or walk. We thought we were going to have to put her down. But the Rimadyl started to work,and now(three years later) she is her old self again.

We give my dog 150 mg a day for arthritis, if she doesnt get it there is noticible pain and she prefers to lay around. With the rimadyl she is much better and plays alot more and clearly feels much better. The rimadyl does the trick

My 14 year old Weimaraner has been progressively having difficulty walking due to arthritis. One recent morning he was unable to stand at all and I needed to carry his 65 pound frame up & down stairs. He had to eat laying down. I reluctantly inquired about plans to having him put to sleep. The vet then gave me a Rimadyl sample. My pup was able to run in the yard the first day of it being administered! As a family, we are amazed at the medicine's effectiveness and thankful it is available.

I have given the chewable version to my 14 year old husky for a couple years now. She has severe dysplasia in her hips and knees. Although I have had to increase the dosage periodically, it has been a great help to her (& me). She also loves them! She thinks they are special treats! Product can be taxing on the liver and kidneys therefor regular monitoring has to be done to insure safety.

We have a 115 lb german shepherd that arthritis hit her hard at about 7yrs old. We thought we would have to put her down soon, but the Vet said to try Rimadyl. It was amazing how quickly she bounced back. And now is 10yrs old and still going for her daily walk.
